What’s a lead rein pony? As descibed. A Show lead rein pony, is a pony not exceeding 12hh suitable to carry a young child ( can’t remember the child’s age limit) whilst being led on a rein fastened to the noseband.

What does 2nd pony mean? A second or non novice pony is one that is usually a good pony club sort, can jump well etc. May have some vices or be strong (not snaffle mouthed etc) or just a bit spirited. Or just a pony that is happier competing or fun rides etc than plodding round on a lead rein.
