Construction and bitumen sealing of the 90 kilometres unsealed section of Broome Cape Leveque Road was completed in November 2020. The road was officially opened by Federal Member for Durack Melissa Price and Western Australian Minister for Transport Rita Saffioti on 26 November 2020.
