Can I use my debit card on the Tube?

As of today, you can board buses and tube trains in London by simply swiping your credit or debit card. Handily for visitors, tourists or anyone who’s left their Oyster card in their other pantaloons, you no longer need to buy a paper ticket or top up your Oyster.

Which Tube lines are 24 hours? Five Tube lines run a 24-hour service on Fridays and Saturdays: Victoria, Central, Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines. The London Overground operates 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays between New Cross Gate and Highbury & Islington. Off-peak fares apply on the Night Tube.
