“Crystal Cove” was named in 1927 by Elizabeth Wood “because the name seemed right for such a beautiful place.” The site was always a favorite spot of the owners James Irvine II and James Irvine III, who spent much time enjoying the beach setting.

Dogs ARE ONLY WELCOME on the 3-mile paved multi-use bluff trail on the coastal side of Pacific Coast Highway, in parking lots, on the ramps, or on any paved surfaces, and must be kept on a leash at all times.
