Was Pearl Harbor an Intrepid?
A Japanese air-launched torpedo hit Intrepid, jamming the rudder. Eleven men were killed. The ship headed to Pearl Harbor and then San Francisco for repairs. Back in action, Intrepid participated in the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 1944, one of the largest naval battles in history.
