Does Sixt have hidden fees? Like other major car rental companies, Sixt will temporarily hold a sum of amount of money on your credit or debit card in addition to the cost of your reservation. The amount that Sixt holds on your card will cover charges you might rack up by the end of the rental, such as late return fees.

Renter’s spouse or domestic partner who meet the same age and driver’s license requirements of the renter are authorized drivers at no additional charge. Any additional authorized drivers must appear at time of rental and meet age and driver’s license requirements.
Can spouse drive rental car in Florida? In Florida, the spouse of the person signing the rental agreement is allowed to drive the car automatically, per state law. Don’t pay extra.
Can I use someone else’s credit card to rent a car? The renter of the vehicle must be present to sign the rental agreement and provide their credit card at the time of pick up. The renter cannot provide a credit or debit card belonging to someone else for their use.
Can I leave my car at SIXT?

Do you need ID to return a rental car? Returning does not require an ID, but you are taking accident/insurance risk if the person driving is not an authorized driver on the rental agreement. If it is a spouse, most rental companies don’t need to see their ID and don’t require them to be listed separately.
