Can you bring a dog on Dublin Bus?

There is no limit to the number of assistance dogs the bus driver can allow on a bus, as long as there is space. The assistance dog is the responsibility of its owner and must be kept under control, whether it is in a harness, leash or carrier. An assistance dog must not block the aisle or travel on a seat.

What happens if I tap in and out at the same station? If you tap in and out at the same station after 30 minutes — say you travel across London only to realise you forgot your keys so have to go back to your original station — your balance is taking a serious hit. The system will assume you’ve done two incomplete journeys and charge you for both of them.

What happens if you don’t tap out Tube? If you don’t touch in and out, we can’t tell where you’ve travelled from or to, so your journey will be incomplete. Maximum fares don’t count towards capping.

Is it cheaper to use Oyster or contactless? There is a very small financial advantage to using a contactless card if you’re in London for more than a week and travel extensively every single day (weekly capping) but otherwise it’s no cheaper than using an Oyster.

Is the Nitelink back?

Dublin Bus has confirmed Nitelink services will resume from Friday, January 28th. The service, which provides 13 late night/early morning routes across the Greater Dublin Area, had previously been halted due to Covid-19 restrictions.
